About me
Bethan L Bucknall
English teaching is my profession, despite spending more than a decade in the Primary sector, mainly in the Stoke on Trent area. I now teach English at a Welsh medium high school in Gwynedd. Teaching is more than a profession, it becomes a part of who you are and even with all of its difficulties and challenges, teaching is so rewarding.
I grew up in North Wales, in a small seaside town. After university, I moved to live in my late grandfather’s house on the Staffordshire/Shropshire border, but I always knew that I’d want to come home to Eryri. It is where I belong. I was finally able to move back here in 2014 and since then it’s been a non-stop adventure. I’m happiest in the hills, preferably near water, but I also love the beaches and wooded areas. In my free time, I love to run, hike, wildswim, cycle and spend quality time with my two sons, my partner and my multiple pets. I currently have three cats and a Pyrenean Mountain dog.I hope to continue to write stories and poetry, as I am packed to the brim with ideas.
